Description

Why is ransomware awareness important?

 Awareness of the latest threats

Ransomware campaigns are constantly evolving, and new threats emerge every month. According to Bitdefender Labs, there are about 2.8 million known unique samples of ransomware – and the number is increasing. The Ransomware Staff Awareness E-learning Course is therefore updated quarterly to ensure it is up to date with the latest attacks.

 Strengthen your defences

Investing in expensive technology won’t matter if your staff don’t know what to do if they’ve been targeted. This short ransomware training course provides your staff with the knowledge to identify the attack and flag it correctly.

Protect your brand and data assets

Prevent a data breach or security incident by training your staff so they can actively help to mitigate cyber risks.

 Demonstrate your commitment to security

Ensure staff receive appropriate awareness training, and everyone has the same level and quality of training.

  Empower your staff

Security experts recognise that ransomware is one of the fastest-growing forms of cyber attack. A 2021 report from Mimecast found that 61% of organisations had been impacted by ransomware in the previous 12 months.

Training your staff to spot ransomware attacks and take appropriate action is one of the most important things you can do to keep your organisation secure. Educate employees so they can enforce best practice and reduce your risk of a successful attack or breach.

What’s covered?

  • Examples of ransomware attacks and their implications.
  • Examples of how individuals and organisations can be harmed if they fall victim to a ransomware attack.
  • The benefits when a ransomware attack is prevented.

  • The importance of phishing and incident report training.
  • The correct use of anti-malware software, following your organisation’s policies and procedures, and how to respond to a ransomware attack.
  • How to use personal devices securely when working.
