The exam is an online exam. You will need to bring a ‘pop-up enabled’ laptop/tablet to the venue. Full details on how to access the exam will be provided by email 1–2 days before sitting the exam.

CPD points

This course qualifies for 14 CPD/CPE points.

One year’s subscription to My ITIL is included with your ITIL Foundation certificate. My ITIL is an online subscription to the latest resources and content helping you to apply what you have learnt during the ITIL Foundation exam to the workplace, as well as developing your skills and knowledge in line with future innovations in IT service management.

Exams and qualifications

ITIL® Foundation Exam

The ITIL Foundation (2 Day) training course includes the ITIL Foundation examination, which is composed of 40 multiple-choice questions. The exam lasts 60 minutes and the pass mark is 65% (26/40 questions). Successful candidates are directly awarded their certificate by PeopleCert .


What qualifications will I receive?

ITIL Foundation.


How will I receive my exam results and certificates?

  • Provisional exam results will be available immediately on completion of the exam. Confirmed exam results will be issued within ten working days from the date of the exam.
  • Certificates for those who have achieved a passing grade will be issued within ten working days from the date of the exam.
  • Results notifications and certificates are sent directly to candidates by the relevant exam board in electronic format; please note that hard copy exam certificates are not issued.

Can exams be retaken?

Exams can be resat without retaking the entire course but delegates will need to pay the exam fee again which is £210 + VAT.

There are no pre-requisites for sitting this course.

Please read the ITIL® Foundation Essentials textbook before the course, we give you this book free when you purhcase the course.
