Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for purchasing this training course. However, you will be sent pre-reading material 20 days before your course begins, which we strongly recommend completing in advance.

Exam information

Whether attending the one- or two-day course, attendees take the ISO 17024-certificated UK GDPR F exam set by IBITGQ (International Board for IT Governance Qualifications). There is no extra charge for this exam.

The assessment is delivered online and lasts 60 minutes.

Can exams be retaken?

Yes, if you are unsuccessful on the first attempt, you can retake the exam for an additional fee.

Qualifications

Those that pass the exam will earn the ISO 17024-certificated UK GDPR F qualification – recognised by employers worldwide.

I came into this course with little knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection. Combined with excellent course materials and a clear, engaging and knowledgeable trainer who consistently referenced real-world examples, this course met with expectations and certainly has given me a lot more confidence and knowledge of the subject ahead of my forthcoming Practitioner's course. Only reason I did not rate this course 5 star is that I wished I had attended this training in the Ely Training Facility - experience of the trainer was excellent and despite a lot of information to absorb on the day, I feel more prepared for future training. I am looking forward to my next courses through Practitioner and 2-day DPO with IT Governance and will make sure I attend the classroom to get maximum benefit. thoroughly recommend IT Governance for GDPR training.

The instructor made a complex and difficult subject clear to all. His knowledge was very impressive indeed. Always affording plenty of time for questions and despite a number of challenging and obscure questions from others on the course, he was able to answer them, demonstrating expertise in the subject. Overall the course was very well put together, well presented and informative with all the different modules clearly explained and defined. I also found the pre-course material and the joining process easy.

I found the course extremely good and informative. The only reason for not giving a 5 star rating was because I normally prefer more technical and practical training (I am an IT Manager) and accept that this is not possible with training in this subject. I felt the instructor was excellent and went out of his way continuously to check understanding and was open to questions throughout. I would thoroughly recommend this course where increased knowledge of GDPR is required.

I signed up to IT Governance’s GDPR Foundation Training Course as I have been selected to be the Company’s privacy manager (or similar) and I had NO idea about GDPR. That is now not the case. This fast paced one day introduction to GDPR was intense but great. The pre course reading pack and the pack that went with the course is a really good resource and I would suggest trying to read the whole thing BEFORE the course if you can. The course leader was very articulate and answered all our questions, she had a lot of information to share and did this well – highlighting particular points that could come up in the exam at the end. The exam at the end was very intense and a closed book exam – you have to try and remember everything that you have covered in the hours before hand! In ‘normal’ circumstances when you could all be in a room together, learning together and discussing the whole experience would have been less stressful and I would have scored the course 5/5. I would recommend anyone who has no or little idea about GDPR to take part in this course – stress saving tip just do the background reading before.
