IT Governance Ltd is the first IBITGQ accredited training organisation to deliver the new ISO 27005 training course

IT Governance Ltd, the global leader in IT governance, risk management and compliance expertise, will be the first training organisation accredited by the International Board for IT Governance Qualifications (IBITGQ)  to deliver the ISO 27005 Certified ISMS Risk Management course.
This new course has been developed by IBITGQ to deliver learning outcomes that enable delegates to perform effective ISO 27001 compliant risk assessments. IBITGQ has selected Vigilant Software’s information security risk assessment tool vsRisk™ to deliver exercises during the course that will offer delegates practical experience in risk assessment.
Nora Clifford, Chair of the IBITGQ Examination Panel, comments: “Individuals performing risk assessments as part of their ISO 27001 project often find it to be a challenging and time-consuming process. We have developed the ISO 27005 Certified ISMS Risk Management course to address the learning needs of these professionals.
The inclusion of practical sessions in the course, such as the use of Vigilant Software’s vsRisk tool, is intended to enhance the learning experience and provide experience that is directly applicable to the workplace.”
vsRisk™ produces ISO 27001-compliant risk assessments, based on the best practice guidelines outlined in ISO 27005, the international standard for  information security risk management. The tool simplifies and automates the risk assessment process, saving time and reducing the cost of an ISO 27001 project.
Delegates attending the ISO 27005 Risk Management course who successfully complete the inclusive examination will also gain the Certified ISMS Risk Management (CIS RM) qualification, awarded by IBITGQ.
IT Governance will deliver the first ISO 27005 Certified ISMS Risk Management course on 19-21 June 2013, in London. Find out more at:
