Explains the fundamentals of internal auditing, including planning, conducting and reporting on ISMS audits.
Contains practical guidance on developing and implementing an effective audit programme.
Provides hands-on training in audit techniques, including document review, interviews and observation.
Gives a detail overview of Annex A controls, their applications and how to implement them.

Prerequisites

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, attendees are expected to have a solid understanding of ISO 27001 and information security management. This can be achieved through practical experience or by passing the Certified ISO 27001:2022 ISMS Foundation Training Course.

Exam information

Attendees take the Certified ISO 27001:2022 ISMS Internal Auditor (CIS IA) exam set by IBITGQ (International Board for IT Governance Qualifications). There is no extra charge for this exam.

The assessment is delivered online and lasts 60 minutes.

Can exams be retaken?

Yes, if you are unsuccessful on the first attempt, you can retake the exam for an additional fee.

Qualifications

Those that pass the exam will earn the Certified ISO 27001:2022 ISMS Internal Auditor (CIS IA) qualification – recognised by employers worldwide.
