Course content

  • Gives you a practical understanding of core cyber security concepts, including digital forensics and incident management.
  • Explains how malware attacks occur, and the steps organisations can take to detect and respond to them.
  • Includes guidance on the way physical security issues overlap with cyber security.
  • Outlines a range of cyber security best practices, such as access controls, secure software design and cryptography.

Prerequisites

Before joining this course, you must have taken the Certified Cyber Security Foundation Training Course and passed the exam.

Exam information

Attendees take the Certified Cyber Security Practitioner (C CS P) exam set by IBITGQ (International Board for IT Governance Qualifications). There is no extra charge for this exam.

The assessment is delivered online and lasts 60 minutes.

Can exams be retaken?

Yes, if you are unsuccessful on the first attempt, you can retake the exam for an additional fee.

Qualifications

Those that pass the exam will earn the Certified Cyber Security Practitioner (C CS P) qualification – a recognised credential for entry-level cyber security roles.

This course awards 28 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points, which are accredited by the CPD Certification Service.

The Course content was good and Challenging. However, it may have been better to run the course over a four week period. Allowing candidates to absorb the content and practice exam questions.
