Course content

  • Explores the current threat landscape and the impact of cyber security incidents on organisations.
  • Explains key concepts such as risk, vulnerability, threats and assets – and how organisations use these terms to manage information security issues.
  • Identifies the types of security controls that can be implemented to reduce information security threats.
  • Outlines relevant information security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Provides guidance on information security audits, monitoring techniques and other operational compliance activities.

Exam information

Attendees take the Certified Cyber Security Foundation (C CS F) exam set by IBITGQ (International Board for IT Governance Qualifications). There is no extra charge for this exam.

The assessment is delivered online and lasts 60 minutes.

Can exams be retaken?

Yes, if you are unsuccessful on the first attempt, you can retake the exam for an additional fee.

You can email us to schedule the retest.

Qualifications

Those that pass the exam will earn the Certified Cyber Security Foundation (C CS F) qualification – a recognised credential for entry-level cyber security roles.

This course awards 7 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points, which are accredited by the CPD Certification Service. CPD points show your commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

The trainer Andrew Snow is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I started the course as a total beginner and felt like I had a good grounding in cybersecurity by the end. It has made me more confident with the projects that I'm currently working on at work.

The course materials were exceptionally good with great recommendations for further reading and the course incorporated great use of videos. Daniel Ityokyaa was thoroughly warm and engaging and able to supply answers to all questions put to him in a clear and competent manner. This course thoroughly met with my expectations and I would have no hesitation in recommending the training to anyone with an Information or Cyber Security focus.

The course was fast paced with a lot of relevant and useful content provided and delivered. I undertook this training as needed because of our work with the Education Sector so this helped me enormously by increasing my knowledge within the CyberSec sphere - complete Value For Money and recommended

This is an excellent course really well structured and informative and is truly an eye opener for someone who like myself who would like to learn more about the exciting field of cybersecurity. Having undertaken the course I am very grateful it has provided me with a foundations to pursue further studies in this fantastic area and I have no hesitation in recommending the Certified Cyber Security course at IT Governance.
