A DPIA helps an organisation make an early evaluation of the impact a business process might have on the privacy of the individuals involved and ensures compliance with the DPA 2018 and the UK GDPR. Organisations are also required to conduct a DPIA where the processing of personal data involves a high risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals.

While there are no formal entry requirements, this course has been designed to meet the needs of participants who have knowledge of data protection and the GDPR. If you require an introduction to the GDPR, we recommend you also purchase the Certified GDPR Foundation Self-Paced Online Training Course.
Participants who have already taken the Certified GDPR Practitioner Self-Paced Online Training Course do not need to attend this DPIA course as the Practitioner course covers DPIAs.
