The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) came into effect on 25 May 2018. In the run up to its introduction and in the six months since it came into effect many organisations have needed to improve their data protection practices to meet the stricter requirements imposed by the Regulation.
IT Governance’s implementation review considers how prepared organisations felt they were for the GDPR and what measures they had put in place to meet the requirements of the Regulation.
The review also considers the common questions our respondents asked and looks to answer the most common misconceptions.
- How prepared organisations felt they were in meeting the GDPR’s requirements after the enforcement date;
- Which measures organisations had taken in preparation for 25 May 2018;
- How organisations had communicated the changes introduced by the GDPR to their staff; and
- The most common concerns our respondents still have relating to the GDPR and how to address these.
