Information Security Specialist and Instructor, IT Governance

Nikolay started his information security career in 2007 as a computer security specialist within the energy sector.

His most recent roles were in the telecom industry as a global information security officer and in finance as a local information security officer.

During the pandemic, Nikolay worked as an ISO 27001 lead assessor and as a client manager at BSI.

Nikolay’s qualifications and professional certifications include:

  • MSc in Cyber Security;
  • Certified CSA STAR Auditor;
  • ISO 27001:2022 Lead Auditor; and
  • ISO 27001:2022 Lead Implementer.

Faizal Shabeer
Country Manager, EC-Council

Faizal has been in the information technology industry for 23 years, the last 15 of which have been in cyber security. He previously managed channel for Kaspersky Labs looking after GCC, Levant, West Asia and North Africa across 25 countries. He also managed the consumer partners at McAfee for the Middle East and North Africa while managing direct relationships with the telecom sector within the same region.

Faizal has run his own end-to-end cyber security solution and consultancy company out of Dubai, UAE while being a member of various business networking bodies, serving as vice president for BNI (Business Network International) – Largest Business Referral.

In his current role, Faizal manages strategic business initiatives across 18 countries for the UK and Europe, while working with enterprise on filling the skills gap within cybersecurity.
