Description

The EU GDPR Foundation distance learning course outline

More extensive in scope and application than the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA), the EU GDPR extends the data rights of individuals, and requires organisations to develop clear policies and procedures to protect personal data, and adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures. UK organisations have had to comply with the Regulation since 25 May 2018, or potentially face fines of up to 4% of annual turnover or €20 million – whichever is greater.

The one-day Certified EU General Data Protection Regulation Foundation (GDPR) Distance Learning Training Course provides a comprehensive introduction to the EU GDPR, and a practical understanding of the implications and legal requirements for organisations of any size. The course is a stepping stone to the Certified EU GDPR Practitioner course.

Great course content including working examples, not just endless video. Pocket guide by Alan Calder is included and an excellent product in its own right. The exam requires installation of a remote webcam monitoring tool, be sure to check with you Info Sec before installing it :-)

Cheaper than other options. I also did not need to take time off work to do it. The only downside was not being able to ask a live tutor questions. But it did the trick and I passed the exam by proctor a few days after signing up.

Excellent being able to study for this whenever you want. Much better than having to find the time to attend a physical or virtual class. Only wish IT Governance did more distance based courses for other areas such as ISO27001 & PCI-DSS! - Highly Recommend!
