Ely, England, 9 January 2012 – IT Governance Ltd, an approved training organisation for the delivery of TickITplus training, has announced that the first TickITplus Foundation Training course in 2012 takes place on 1-2 February in London. Furthermore, delegates will save more than £150 if they book onto the course now here: www.itgovernance.co.uk/products/3334.
Alan Calder, CEO of IT Governance, says, “As the TickITplus scheme continues to gather momentum, we are excited to be delivering a series of TickITplus foundation courses in 2012. Since the launch of the TickITplus certification scheme in 2011, we have received a lot of interest in our foundation course which is essential for all entrants to the scheme. We expect this trend to continue with more organisations working towards certification.”
The TickITplus scheme offers a flexible, multi-level approach to IT quality and certification assessment and can be applied at whatever level is deemed appropriate to the quality and process maturity of the organisation and the needs of its customers. TickITplus introduces capability assessment methodology together with the accommodation of other related international standards which include ISO 9001, ISO 20000 and ISO 27001.
The TickITplus Foundation Training course provides delegates with an understanding of the TickITplus concepts and materials, as well as an overview of the scheme and its operation, covering all basic concepts. Delegates will understand the role of the Base Processes Library (BPL) and will be able to ensure that the quality of their software meets the expectation of their customers.
Useful readings for everyone new to the TickITplus scheme are the TickITplus Base Processes Library, the TickITplus Kick Start Guide and the newly published TickITplus Core Scheme Requirements. The latter specifies the requirements for undertaking an accredited TickITplus assessment that meets the audit requirements set out in ISO17021 and follows the principles in ISO/IEC 15504-2.
