IT Governance is excited to announce that its niche IT-GRC publishing imprint, ITGP, has upgraded the BYOD toolkit
, aiding ISO27001: 2013 compliance.
This BYOD (bring-your-own-device) toolkit
has been created using the necessary policies, procedures, work instructions that will reinforce the incorporation of BYOD into an organisation. The BYOD toolkit
integrates with existing management systems and other ITGP toolkits, reflecting the changes and new additions to the latest ISO27001:2013 Standard.
The revised ISO/IEC 27001:2013
standard, alongside the code of practice ISO/IEC 27002:2013,
was launched on 25 September 2013. The new edition of the Standard has had some key changes regarding required documentation. For example, the Standard no longer specifies the use of the PDCA cycle, and it is more focused on setting objectives and measuring performance.
This update is part of IT Governance Publishing
’s programme to continually improve our toolkits. In our most recent survey to customers, we asked what benefit was most important for them when using our toolkits, and this is what they told us:
33% said that it meant that they need not re-invent the wheel
67% said that the most important benefit was that they saved them time in implementation.
And from the same pool of customers:
Nearly 70% said that they would recommend our ITGP toolkits to suppliers and partners.
Organisations will benefit from implementing BYOD by:
shifting investment and running costs to the employee
boosting employee satisfaction
speeding up use within the organisation of cutting edge technology
eliminating end-of-life device administration.
