14/06/2011

Ely, England, 14 June 2011 – The Axiom Business Book Awards celebrate excellence in business book writing and publishing by presenting gold, silver and bronze medals in 20 business categories. The annual awards contest is designed to bring increased recognition to the year’s best business books and their creators.

It was announced in March this year that Agile Productivity Unleashed: Proven Approaches for Achieving Real Productivity Gains in ANY Organization, an IT Governance Publishing (ITGP) title, had won a Bronze medal in the ‘Operations Management/Productivity/TQM’ category at the 4th Annual Axiom Business Book Awards.

23 May 2011, saw the Medallist Appreciation Event for the awards take place in New York, USA, where authors and publishers were invited to say a few words about their books, and Jamie Lynn Cooke, the author of Agile Productivity Unleashed attended the ceremony.

Jamie commented,“Agile approaches can dramatically increase the relevance and value of business activities in every industry, but few businesses are aware of just how much these approaches can significantly improve their bottom line. Winning the 2011 Axiom Award for Operations Management/Productivity/TQM has given Agile Productivity Unleashed so much more than industry recognition; it has provided a key step forward in bringing the substantial benefits of Agile approaches to a wider business audience”.

“Both authors and the team at ITGP work extremely hard to produce and bring to market, essential guidance to serve the evolving needs of today’s organisations, directors, managers and practitioners. For one of our books to achieve this type of industry recognition in addition to that, is fantastic. Jamie Lynn Cooke’s book is a terrific guide for management in any organisation that genuinely wants break-through productivity gains, and I’m delighted it has won this award”, added Alan Calder, CEO of IT Governance.
