IT Governance Ltd
, the leading cyber security training provider, has announced the launch of its RESILIA™ Foundation training course in the UK.
The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) 2015 Information Security Breaches survey
shows that 90% of large organisations and 74% of small organisations suffered a data breach in 2014. Mitigating the threat and managing the consequences of an inevitable cyber attack are major challenges facing the directors and managers of all UK organisations.
is a best-practice framework designed to build cyber resilience skills and knowledge for managers and staff working in an organisation of any size. Developed by AXELOS, it provides a guide to the practical knowledge required to enhance existing management strategies and help to align cyber resilience with IT operations, security and incident management. Training is an essential element of the framework, and the RESILIA Foundation
certification schemes have been introduced to build knowledge and award qualifications.
Alan Calder, founder and executive chairman of IT Governance, explains: “RESILIA delivers advice to enable an organisation to achieve cyber resilience by using existing service management systems and best practices. Based on the ITIL®
lifecycle model, the framework provides much-needed guidance to implementing true business resilience by adopting a more strategic risk management approach that integrates many disciplines into a single set of integrated processes.”
He continues, “The RESILIA Foundation course is the first step for all members of staff. Delegates will learn how RESILIA can benefit their organisation, and how to make good cyber resilience an efficient part of business and operational management. If they pass the included examination, they will also be awarded the RESILIA Foundation Certificate.”
The three-day RESILIA Foundation training course
delivers an introduction to cyber resilience, together with an understanding of the purpose of risk management, and cyber resilience strategy, management and implementation. The inaugural classroom courses are scheduled to run in London on 15-17 September and 10-12 November 2015 and can be booked online at: www.itgovernance.co.uk/shop/p-1719-resilia-foundation.aspx
