IT Governance, the world leader in the field of data protection, risk management and compliance solutions, is thrilled to announce its new suite of Data Security and Protection (DSP) Toolkit consultancy services – the new standard for cyber and data security for healthcare organisations.
Replacing the Information Governance (IG) Toolkit, the DSP Toolkit requires organisations to demonstrate that they are implementing the ten data security standards recommended by the National Data Guardian Review, as well as complying with the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
IT Governance has developed consultancy products in line with the Toolkit’s new requirements, including a DSP Toolkit FastTrack
service, a DSP Toolkit Gap Analysis
and a bespoke compliance service – ideal for organisations wanting to assess their data security and privacy arrangements, and those that are new to the Toolkit’s requirements. A set of documentation templates that will enable ‘small’ and ‘large’ organisation types to upload the full set of documented evidence for DSP compliance is also earmarked for release in May 2018.
Alan Calder, the founder and executive chairman of IT Governance, said: “At IT Governance we are always striving to improve the capabilities of our products, especially as cyber-attacks increase in frequency and severity, and the DSP Toolkit product suite is no exception. We have extensive experience in helping organisations implement such products and we are looking forward to sharing these updates.”
With the deadline for completing the online submission for DSP Toolkit compliance less than a year away (March 2019) – and some larger organisations are required to complete their submissions even earlier (by October 2018) – organisations beginning their compliance journey alongside other regulatory changes, such as the GDPR, must streamline their compliance activities in order to avoid duplication and ultimately save money.
