, the leading cyber security services provider and CREST-accredited certification body for the UK Government’s Cyber Essentials scheme, has certified Inchcape Fleet Solutions (IFS) to Cyber Essentials.
Inchcape Fleet Solutions
provides flexible fleet management solutions to corporate, government and non-profit clients throughout the UK. IFS adds the Cyber Essentials badge to their existing ISO 27001 certification as part of their ongoing commitment to offer the very best practices in information security for their UK public sector clients.
Alan Calder, the founder and executive chairman of IT Governance, says: “I am delighted to congratulate Inchcape Fleet Solutions on their successful certification. By attaining the Cyber Essentials badge we hope it demonstrates to IFS clients that they have a robust standard of cyber security in place for minimising attacks and safeguarding client data.”
Launched in early June 2014, the Cyber Essentials scheme
is designed to improve the resilience of UK businesses to cyber security threats, and provides verifiable certification of their robustness.
In order to achieve Cyber Essentials certification, companies are required to complete a self-assessment questionnaire, which is signed off by a senior company representative and then verified by an external certification body. An external vulnerability scan will also be required if the company has chosen to be certified through a CREST-approved certification body
like IT Governance.
IT Governance’s Cyber Essentials Certification
service is designed for organisations that do not require help completing the self-assessment questionnaire and is available as a convenient online service, helping organisations save time and money.
