Professional services company, IT Governance
, in association with one of the UK’s leading certification bodies, BSI
, have announced the third in a series of dedicated Information Security workshops targeted at senior decision makers and information security professionals. Delegates can register for the event, which will take place on 12th June 2013 in London, here: www.itgovernance.co.uk/shop/p-1333.aspx
Steve Watkins, Consultancy and Training Director at IT Governance, says, “Experience shows that ISO 27001 certification is becoming ever more popular with businesses. Our clients increasingly see the direct benefits for their own operations as well as the assurance certification offers to their customers.
“ISO 27001 certification requires commitment, time and money and we understand these are areas of concern for Senior Managers. Through this joint workshop we aim to help professionals understand the investment required and the benefits on offer and therefore equip them with the information required to make a decision that is right for their organisation.”
Steve Watkins, a renowned expert on ISO 27001
compliance and certification and Chair of the UK ISO/IEC 27001 User Group, will be leading the workshop together with BSI EMEA Product Marketing Manager, Suzanne Fribbins.
The workshop will explore the myths and realities of ISO 27001 and will explain the certification process with supporting case studies.
The second part of the workshop will include discussion groups and individual consultations during which attendees will have the opportunity to engage in personal discussions with staff from IT Governance and BSI.
