IT Governance and Alcumus ISOQAR to host the event Mitigating Information Security Risk using ISO 27001

IT Governance, the cyber security and ISO 27001 experts, have announced that they have partnered with UKAS accredited certification body, Alcumus ISOQAR, to hold an event on information security risk.
 
The one-day event, Mitigating Information Security Risk using ISO 27001, will be held on 18th July 2013 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Representing excellent value at £35 per delegate, the event will consist of highly-informative talks, practical workshops and one-to-one advice sessions to help delegates achieve a better understanding of, and make progress with mitigating information security risk using ISO 27001. Delegates will learn the basic principles and practices of operating an Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with ISO 27001, with particular emphasis on understanding which control measures are pertinent to their specific business operations. The event will include a 90-minute workshop centred on helping delegates to identify and mitigate information security risk.
 
Steve Watkins, a renowned expert on ISO 27001 compliance and certification and Chair of the UK ISO/IEC 27001 User Group, will be leading the workshop together with Nikki Samme, Director of Group Marketing at Alcumus ISOQAR.
