IT Governance Ltd
, the global cyber security services provider has announced the launch of the first accredited cyber security risk management training course available in the world.
The Managing Cyber Security Risk
training course has been developed to provide senior managers with the knowledge required to create and deploy effective cyber security strategies that protect their organisations from the growing risks of cyber space.
Alan Calder, IT Governance CEO, confirms, “We have for many years been at the forefront of helping organisation mitigate the risks associated with the use of the internet. Our extensive experience of implementing ISO27001 compliant information management systems has demonstrated the absolute need for a clear and effective cyber security strategy that actually works. The recently released PAS 555:2013 Cyber Security Risk Governance and Management standard
defines the overall outcomes of effective cyber security. Alongside related guidance in CESG's 10 Steps to Cyber Security and CSI's 20 Critical Controls for Cyber Security, PAS 555 provides a ‘blueprint’ for cyber security. However, these guidelines do not explain how to achieve the outcomes of a successful cyber security programme.”
He continued “Our new Managing Cyber Security Risk course explains the outcomes defined in PAS 555 and related cyber security guidance documents.
It also equips delegates with the practical knowledge required to develop a cyber security risk management strategy that delivers these required outcomes.”
The 3-day Managing Cyber Security Risk
training course is scheduled to run in London on the 28-30th October. Delegates who successfully complete this Advanced Level course will be awarded the Certified Cyber Risk Management Practitioner (CCRMP) qualification issued by the International Board for IT Governance Qualifications (IBITGQ
This training course is the newest addition to the Cyber Security Learning Pathway,
which includes the ISO27001 ISMS Lead Implementer, ISO22301 BCMS Lead Implementer, ISO20000 Practitioner and COBIT 5 Foundation training courses.
