Professional services company IT Governance
, in association with leading global independent certification body DNV
, have announced that they are to host the first of a series of dedicated information security workshops on 26 February 2013 in London.
The workshop, titled ISO27001 Information Security: Practical Guidance for Senior Managers
, gives participants the opportunity to find out how their organisation will benefit from certification to the ISO27001 standard
and, the steps they need to take to implement their own Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Alan Calder, CEO of IT Governance, said, “Ever more organisations are seeing the benefits of ISO27001 certification. On one side, it helps them to better protect their information assets, and on the other, they gain a competitive advantage, increase stakeholder satisfaction and improve internal processes. It is a win-win situation.”
Paul Breslin, ICT Sector Leader at DNV Business Assurance, said "ISO27001 is neither complicated nor hard to implement. We'll bust some myths and lay out a roadmap for certification."
The ISO27001 Information Security: Practical Guidance for Senior Managers
