IT Governance, the cyber security consultancy firm and CREST-accredited certification body, is pleased to congratulate award-winning provider of strategic technology and business solutions Dacoll Limited
on achieving certification to the UK Government-backed Cyber Essentials scheme.
Alan Calder, the founder and chief executive officer of IT Governance, said: “I’m pleased to congratulate Dacoll Limited on meeting the five key controls of the scheme and getting the Cyber Essentials certification. The certification, which recognises organisations that have taken appropriate steps to protect against most common cyber threats, provides Dacoll’s clients, partners and stakeholders with the assurance that the organisation took all necessary measures to prevent future threats.”
The Cyber Essentials scheme
is designed to help organisations set out a baseline of cyber security, which can then be proven by a verified self-assessment questionnaire and (if using a CREST-accredited certification body) an external vulnerability scan of Internet-facing networks and applications.
Anthony Reid, management systems manager at Dacoll Limited, said: “As part of Dacoll Limited’s ongoing commitment to improving our information security management system we took the decision to gain the cyber essential certification. With the knowledge gained by implementing ISO 27001:2013 we opted for the ‘Do It Yourself’ package and the process was simple to follow.”
The ‘Do It Yourself’ Cyber Essentials package
allows organisations to take full control over their Cyber Essentials certification project, while receiving support from IT Governance’s certification service in a transparent and cost-effective manner.
Organisations wishing to set out a baseline of cyber security and achieve certification to the Cyber Essentials scheme can opt for any of the three IT Governance developed packages – ‘Do It Yourself’
, ‘Get A Little Help
’ or ‘Get A Lot Of Help’
. Each packaged solution provides different levels of support to suit any organisation’s needs.
