Cyber Essentials Partners programme presents new opportunities to deliver essential cyber security services

16/06/2016

The new programme, Cyber Essentials Partners, has been developed by a CREST-accredited certification body for the Cyber Essentials scheme, IT Governance.

The Cyber Essentials certification scheme is rapidly becoming a must-have for UK businesses. Certification can help to protect organisations from around 80% of cyber attacks by applying basic levels of cyber hygiene.

The programme aims to help IT support companies and other businesses tap into the fast-growing cyber security market, using the infrastructure and expertise provided by IT Governance. The service enables partners to sell Cyber Essentials certification services, thereby delivering greater client value and offering a wider variety of services, without the hassle of having to become a certification body themselves.

Alan Calder, the founder and executive chairman of IT Governance Ltd, explains: “The Cyber Essentials scheme is gaining momentum as we speak. Over 1,500 companies in the UK and abroad have already signed up to the scheme, and we have been inundated with requests from companies scrambling to meet the UK Government’s new cyber security requirements.

“As a Cyber Essentials Partner, organisations traditionally not in the cyber security field now have the freedom to extend their services beyond their current portfolio.”

Partners can sign up to become either a Reseller Partner or an Affiliate Partner under the Cyber Essentials Partnership scheme, depending on their internal capabilities and client relationship needs.

More information about the scheme is available on the IT Governance website.  Alternatively, potential partners can call IT Governance on +44 (0)845 070 1750 or email servicecentre@itgovernance.co.uk.
