Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) is an IT governance control framework that helps organisations meet today’s business challenges in the areas of regulatory compliance, risk management and aligning IT strategy with organisational goals.
COBIT 5 replaced COBIT 4.1 back in 2012 which saw the addition of a new governance domain, the integration of the VAL IT and Risk IT Frameworks and alignment with ITIL, TOGAF, ISO 27001 and many other internationally-recognised frameworks and standards.
If you’re looking to implement COBIT into your organisation, then take a look at the 4 resources below:
In this discussion group you can exchange knowledge, good practices and experiences of using COBIT 5 and related materials to implement governance of enterprise IT. (Membership required)
The Control Framework Implementation Toolkit contains all the documents, templates, policies and procedures you’ll need for implementation, all of which are easily customisable to your organisation. The toolkit will speed up organisational learning and the implementation process.

This new ISACA publication (Aug’ 2013) looks at the current cyber security landscape and how to apply the COBIT 5 framework to transform and improve the cyber security of an organisation. Main focuses include security governance, security management and security assurance.
