The ICO hands out its first fine – will you be next?

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has handed out its first fine of £70,000 to the NHS after a report containing sensitive information about a patient’s health was sent to another person.

This is the first time that the ICO has issued such a fine and suggests that any irresponsible behaviour in this area will be dealt with severely.

Make sure you’re not next on the ICO penalty list by being DPA compliant. Join us this Friday for our DPA Foundation Course. With 30% off there are limited spaces available. Books yours today >>
