NASA Rushes To Close The Encryption Door

Last week, after the loss of another laptop, NASA ordered all the data on its laptops to be encrypted within one month. The incident involved the theft of a laptop from an employee’s car, adding to 48 previous incidents over the last 3 years.

It’s incredible that NASA hasn’t demanded encryption before now and it has taken so many incidents before NASA’s CIO closes the encryption door.
