Effectively monitor social media in your business

India’s Information Technology Minister, Kapil Sibal, has said that there will be no censorship on social media websites (such as Facbook and Twitter), but that Internet firms must obey the country’s laws.

Last year, Mr Sibal said that the government would introduce guidelines to ensure “blasphemous material” would not appear on the Internet, as it could cause communal unrest. This has caused outcry from global companies such as Google and Facebook, who profess that it is impossible to pre-monitor material posted by “billions of people across the globe”.
