Don’t forget to update your IBITGQ ISO 27001 qualifications to 2013 status

With the October 1st, 2015 deadline in the past, most certification bodies (CBs) have completely transitioned from the award of the older ISO 27001:2005 to ISO 27001:2013 certificate.  If you are an ISO 27001 professional, you should now be helping to implement, maintain and audit the requirements of ISO 27001:2013.

But are your qualifications aligned to ISO27001:2013? Could you demonstrate your competence to an employer in the future?

Your organisation and future employers need to know that your knowledge and qualifications are current and up to date. This is particularly important if you are an independent consultant or auditor, and need to win more business in an increasingly competitive GRC business market!

IBITGQ logoThe good news is that if you have attended any of our ISO 27001 training courses since January 2014, your knowledge will be based on ISO 27001:2013 and your IBITGQ certificates will have been awarded with 2013 status.  For individuals with older Certified ISMS Lead Implementer (CIS LI) and/or Certified ISMS Lead Auditor (CIS LA) qualifications, I recommend that you attend our one-day ISO 27001 2013 Certified ISMS Transition training session. This is available in a classroom format (next 7 Dec) or as a unique online training course (next 26 Oct) that enables delegates to save time and money, and study from any location in the world.

Delegates who successfully complete this Advanced Level course and pass the exam will be awarded the ISO 27001 2013 Certified ISMS Upgrade (CIS 2013 UP) qualification issued by the International Board for IT Governance Qualifications (IBITGQ). They will also be awarded an upgrade to their existing CIS LI and CIS LA qualifications if applicable. Delegates with existing certificates awarded from other exam bodies such as IRCA, BSI or PECB are also welcome. Documented evidence of any existing qualifications must be provided prior to being awarded the updated IBITGQ 2013 certificates.

If you are not yet up to speed with the benefits of ISO 7001:2013 to your organisation or your career, please see our dedicated ISO 27001 information page.
