If you are taking your CISA exam this June, we’ve compiled a list of tips to give you the best chance possible of passing:
1) Ensure you understand the structure and content of the exam – By recognising the main elements of the exam, you can ensure that all areas are covered during your studies, leaving nothing to chance. The content, structure and other topics of the exam are provided in the CISA Review Manual 2013.
2) Test your level of CISA knowledge by sitting mock exams – Using a resource such as the CISA Practice Questions Database v13 can allow you to sit a mock exam which will help identify gaps in your knowledge that are in need of further study.
The CISA Practice Questions Database allows you to simulate actual CISA exams, and upon completion of a mock exam, you are shown the questions you got wrong along with the correct answers. This method allows you to learn in a positive way.
3) Study in a quiet place, set aside enough time for your studies and use official ISACA materials – Although fairly basic, these are probably three of the most important elements in helping you pass your exam. Study with official ISACA materials such as those in the CISA Exam Passport to aid your studies is highly recommended.
In addition to these ‘self-study’ tips, we strongly recommend attending our CISA – Certified Information Systems Auditor Training Course. This 4-day CISA course is the perfect intensive preparation course for the CISA exam and is run by the official UK reseller of ISACA’s CISA materials. The CISA exam changes every year, and our course is updated to reflect the latest official guidance on content and exam questions.
We wish you every success with your CISA exam!
