AXELOS extends the contracts of six examination institutes

AXELOS®, owners of the ITIL® and PRINCE2® Global Best Practice methodologies, has extended the contracts of six examination institutes. APMG, BCS, CSME, EXIN, Loyalist, and PeopleCert have had their contracts for offering exams for AXELOS’s Global Best Practice portfolio extended for three years from January 2015.

In a press release on AXELOS’s website, they explained they were extending these contracts “to ensure they (the EIs) have the stability to make further investments in quality systems, enhance exam delivery and increase their global reach”.

Further, AXELOS stated that they “will work with their EIs to grow established markets and develop opportunities in new regions, drive the AXELOS portfolio of Global Best Practice products and continue to serve their community”.

Dansk IT, one of the other current EIs, is reviewing its options and is still under contract with AXELOS as an EI. It will continue to operate under its current contract for the time being.

DF Certifiering will become an AXELOS Operational Hub, accredited by APMG. This means they will continue to support accredited training organisations (ATOs) and examination institutes in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, but will not continue on as an EI.

TÜV SÜD has elected not to continue as an AXELOS EI from January 2015.
