There’s no doubt that information is one of the most important assets to any organisation. Like most important assets, an organisation needs to do their best to protect it. ISO 27001, the internationally recognised best practice standard for information security, provides organisations with the framework they need to protect theirs and their customer’s information.
Since the release of new version of the standard, ISO/IEC 27001:2013, IT Governance has been quick to launch updated books and training courses. We’re happy to announce that the ISO27001 2013 ISMS Standalone Documentation Toolkit published by IT Governance Publishing is now available.
Why do I need a documentation toolkit?
The documentation involved in an ISO 27001 project can become a stressful and arduous task, especially if you’re new to ISO 27001. The ISO27001 2013 ISMS Standalone Documentation Toolkit is designed to relieve those stress points in your implementation project by providing you with pre-written documentation templates, allowing you to focus more of your time on other aspects of the project.
This toolkit has also had some changes made in regards to layout and functionality. A few of the more noticeable changes are:
User Input Page
One of the most exciting pieces of functionality in this modern toolkit comes in the form of the user input page. This allows you to:
- Brand the toolkit with your company information from one page
- Set the levels of document classification
- Update roles and responsibilities to meet those within your organization
The toolkit includes a navigation pane, making it easier and faster to navigate between sections of the documentation. This pane allows you to see the structure of your documentation, enabling you to quickly jump to a specific section without the need of closing and opening separate documents.
Table of contents
By using the table of contents, you can get an overview of all the documentation in the toolkit. Furthermore, you can also directly click through to the individual documents.
This new functionality combined with the 2013 update will provide you with a fantastic start to your ISO 27001:2013 project.
And it gets even better!
