$80 Million Cyber Attack “Operation High Roller” Targets US Corporate Bank Accounts

The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that a new breed of cyberattack is targeting corporate bank accounts and has stolen at least $80 million already, with the attempted theft of over $2.5 billion.

On Tuesday McAfee and Guardian Analytics released a joint report on “Operation High Roller”, stating that the cyber criminals were attacking the cloud based servers of at least 60 banks. The attacks originated in Europe and Latin America but have now moved onto financial institutions in America.
