Prepare to pass the CGEIT exam at the first attempt
The ISACA CGEIT qualification is a worldwide symbol of excellence in IT governance and combines the achievement of passing a comprehensive exam with recognition of work, management and educational experience. Achieving CGEIT status will provide you with wider recognition in the employment marketplace, as well as increased influence as a senior manager or director working at board level.
Our four-day CGEIT exam preparation course is designed to ensure that you pass the challenging Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) exam first time.
What will you learn?
This training course provides intensive revision and preparation for the CGEIT exam, across all of the CGEIT job practice areas (updated 2013):
- Domain 1 - Framework for the Governance of Enterprise IT (25%)
- Domain 2 - Strategic Management (20%)
- Domain 3 - Benefits Realization (16%)
- Domain 4 - Risk Optimization (24%)
- Domain 5 - Resource Optimization (15%)
The percentages indicate the emphasis of questions on the exam paper. During the course you will cover the following aspects for each Domain:
- Task and knowledge statements
- Practice exam questions
The course also includes a full practice exam, and covers handy hints and tips for further revision.
Highly experienced CGEIT trainer
The classroom session is led by Dr Geoff Harmer, who has over 29 years’ experience in the IT industry. Dr Harmer has been awarded Chartered Engineer (CEng), Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS), Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP) and Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) status. He is an accredited lecturer in ITIL with the Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB), for COBIT 5 with ISACA and for ISO20000 with APMG (formerly itSMF). He is also an Associate Lecturer in Technology with the Open University.
The CGEIT examination
Please note that the CGEIT exam is not included in this training course. CGEIT exams take place in June and December each year and you must book the exam directly with ISACA, the awarding examination board.
Our experience shows that delegates have the highest chance of success if they sit the exam approximately 2-3 weeks after attending this training course.
Who should attend this course?
- IT managers and directors who wish to develop a career in IT governance.
- IT consultants/contractors who wish to advise larger organisations in IT governance.
Are there entry requirements?
ISACA requires at least
five years of IT governance experience in the five CGEIT Domains to qualify for certification. You can take the CGEIT exam prior to meeting ISACA’s experience requirements, but the CGEIT qualification will not be awarded until all requirements are met. We do not set specific entry requirements for this course.
All delegates will need to have a copy of the CGEIT Exam Passport, as it is referred to throughout the course. This can be purchased in our London & CGEIT Exam Passport Books package as listed above.
This CGEIT training course includes:
- Lunch and refreshments
- Full course materials (digital copy provided as PDF file)
- Certificate of attendance
This course is non-residential, but we can help you to find a hotel close to the training venue. To take advantage of this offer, drop us an email after you book your course.
