VAT
Purchases from within the UK are subject to VAT, except for books. Purchases from outside the UK are not subject to VAT - except for orders from the EU, which are - unless you are VAT registered, in which case (in theory) you should be able to not pay the VAT - but the whole business of enabling EU entities who are VAT registered to not pay VAT is so complex and unreliable, that it is easier for us all if we apply VAT to everything. The rules would be much simpler if we'd made them.
Our VAT number is 834 1927 24. You automatically receive a full VAT invoice from us so you can re-claim the VAT.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All purchases are subject to our Terms and Conditions.
PRIVACY
We respect your privacy. We will not pass your personal data on to any third parties, under any conditions.

OGC Restrictions: ITILv3, M_o_R, MSP and Prince2 Electronic Versions of Soft Cover books
PDF Publications
Unfortunately, we have to manually create PDF download links for all OGC publications ordered in PDF format and we can thererfore only despatch them during UK office hours - 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
There are a number of specific restrictions on the PDF versions of books published by the OGC, and these restrictions are enforced by a Digital Rights Management Technology.
- Single download: users are only allowed one attempt to download the PDFs;
- Single computer: PDFs can only be downloaded and stored on one computer; you will need Adobe Passport if you want to migrate the PDF to another computer, otherwise any attempt to copy, cut, paste or move the PDF may result in its corruption;
- Firewalls: you should be aware that many firewalls will block the download of PDFs (and zip files and so on)
- Single use: OGC PDFs are not networkable, can only be printed once and cannot be copied, cut or pasted.
- Adobe version: They can only be viewed using Adobe Acrobat 6.1 or 7 (not 8.0) and will need to be activated by visiting the Adobe DRM Activator website. Here are the Adobe v7.0 instructions for reading DRM e-Books: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/pdfs/95003923_eBook_FAQ_UE.pdf

Online subscriptions
Subscriptions for OGC products are annual, and are designed for individual identified users. You can purchase an annual licence online for one or more users, whose access to the OGC material will be controlled by user name and password.
Multi-user access
OGC publications are also available for multi-user online access and users are enabled to access the central OGC website for central access to the Complete ITIL Publication Suite. The online subscription replace the old ITIL CD-Roms and provides better viewing and access to the material and is, in most aspects, a preferable electronic medium for the ITIL material.
Access is managed centrally and any number of users can be provided with access details; once the purchased number of access licences is simultaneously active on the OGC site, further access will be prevented until one user logs out, thereby allowing another to log on. As a general guide, one concurrent user licence will support 10 core users of the material or 15 whose use is less frequent or spread geographically or temporally.
Multi-user access can be set up for any number of users, with access controlled through one or more of the following access methods:
- generic user name and password, which can enable a geographic spread of users to log on to the material;
- IP authentication, which enables all those users behind a specified IP address (or addresses) such as a firewall, to access the material;
- Direct authentication, which enables a link to be placed on, for instance, an extranet server, which will link a user directly to the material.
User names and passwords for individual users are generated at midnight GMT each business day and are emailed to all customers on the next business morning.
DELIVERY CHARGES
Delivery charges for analogue products that will be delivered by mail are calculated at the point of completing the checkout process and are based on a combination of weight and destination. Our delivery pricing is zoned in line with Parcel Force pricing and is, in most cases, lower than Parcel Force and other commercial carrier list rates. Delivery charges are added on to your total transaction amount.
Products purchased other than by credit card will be available for download, or will be despatched, as soon as payment has cleared our bank, or in line with any other agreement we make with you.
RISK IN DELIVERY
Deliveries using normal mail services to a small number of countries are at high risk of non-arrival. We recommend that, if you wish our products to be delivered to one of the countries that we list below, you use our express courier service. If you choose to use standard delivery, risk in the product will pass to you immediately we despatch it: in other words, if it goes astray, we will charge in full for replacements. Countries affected include South Africa and Nigeria.
SOUTH ASIAN CUSTOMERS
We recognize that our South Asian customers operate in a different cost environment to many of our other customers. We therefore offer a membership option to bona fide South Asian organizations, which enables them to purchase, by credit card, ITGP books and toolkits from our website at uniquely low prices. These prices are only viewable by members. This option only applies to eBooks and toolkits (including our ISO 27001 ISMS Toolkit) we publish ourselves (identified by the occurrence on the product page of the itgp logo that is just above this paragraph), and is only available to South Asian organizations.
South Asian organizations and individuals who wish to join this scheme should go to this screen, and complete ALL the customer registration details. Once that is completed, please email (to servicecentre@itgovernance.co.uk) us a request to review those customer details and for you to be admitted to membership.
We reserve the right absolutely to refuse membership to individuals and organizations entirely at our own discretion.
