ISO 27001 and Information Security Training
IT Governance trainers and presenters are masters of ISO 27001, and our ISMS Certification training courses are the best you can get.
"I recently attended one of Alan's ISO27001:2005 ISMS Master Implementer courses and was very impressed with both his obvious expertise and knowledge but also his faultless ability to get his point across to different types of people. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and would happily recommend Alan and IT Governance Ltd to anyone." Andrew Cardwell M.IISP, CISSP-ISSMP, CISM, CISA, CISMP, BS7799 Lead Auditor.
"Excellent + enjoyable. Presenters were masters of their subject and imparted their knowledge in an easy to understand way. Would recommend to others." David Dawkins, South Gloucestershire Council
"Straight-forward clear expectations for non-technical managers. Very business focused. Offer of on-going support very helpful." Roy Hill, Head of Aviation Security, BAA plc

In-house training
Lack of security awareness by users is the top obstacle to information security. You should address information security awareness on a whole organisation basis, through policies on training, hiring, induction, communication and technology deployment.
The fact is that, however sophisticated your information security technology infrastructure, it will fail if it is not supported by appropriate processes and, if those people who have to use the technology don't understand it, they will circumvent or otherwise undermine it.
We can deliver tailored in-house training that will ensure your staff play an effective, on-going role in securing your corporate information, or we can tailor one of our existing courses to deliver it in house to your own people. We have alreay done this for a number of our clients. There are usually two reasons why this option makes sense:
- When you have four or five people who need training, it is often more cost-effective to have the course delivered in-house, in your own premises, to suit your own timetable;
- You can also get a course that is more customised to your specific needs, and delegates feel comfortable discussing and resolving internal issues that might not be aired at a public course.
In house training courses can be tailored to your specific needs, business environment and ISMS project. Training is one of the most important aspects in developing, implementing, deploying and maintaining an ISO 27001 ISMS and we offer three types of in-house training:
- introductory training, including Foundations of Information Security Management
- ISMS project manager and team training/workshops (including our ISMS Implementation Masterclass), and
- General awareness training
In all these courses, we deploy the practical expertise developed over nearly ten years of BS7799/ISO27001 involvement. Please email servicecentre@itgovernance.co.uk or telephone + 44 845 070 1750 for more information on in-house training course delivery.
