What are the differences between ePub, Adobe eBook MOBI? What software tool will I need to view my eBooks on my computer?
ePub: a reflowable format based largely around HTML – compatible with the majority of eReaders on the market (see table), including smartphones, iPod Touch and some tablets. To install these eBooks onto your hand held device you will have to install a free application called BlueFire onto your handheld device (iPod Touch/iPhone, for example) which will act as your library or bookstore. You can read these eBooks in Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) on your computer which will too store your library. ADE will enable to read your ePub eBook on your computer.
Adobe eBooks: the more universal format of an eBook for handheld eReaders, closely related to its junior ePub format. You can download and read this format of eBook with Adobe Digital Editions.
Mobi: is the formatting behind eBooks that are compatible with Amazon’s Kindle. You will need to download Kindle for PCs to read these eBooks on your computer, or you can transfer them straight from purchase to Kindle device. TSO mobi eBooks are not compatible with Amazon's Kindle device due to the DRM applied by the publishers.
-
The difference between TSO & ITG eBooks
TSO eBooks are very similar to our eBook formats ePub and Adobe eBook, with the same DRM applied and software tools to view them on. Please note that eBook from TSO are not compatible with Amazon's Kindle device due to the DRM applied by the publishers.
If you have any further queries regarding TSO eBooks please don't hesitate to contact us here at servicecentre@itgovernance.co.uk

What is ADE (Adobe Digital Editions)?
What is ADE (Adobe Digital Editions)? ADE offers eBooks lovers a simple method of acquiring, managing and reading digital publications. It is a free download from http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/#fp
Digital Editions says 'Good Bye' to the one eBook to one computer policy and Hello! to ‘access your eBooks from any computer’ - so long as you don’t forget your Adobe ID!
The first time you run Digital Editions, you are prompted to authorize the application by entering an Adobe ID. Then, when you purchase an item online or borrow one from a library with Digital Editions, the item is automatically "tied" to your Adobe ID, rather than your computer. This way, you are free to move your items to up to six computers and six devices that have been authorized with Digital Editions - an Adobe ID is a free and a nonintrusive way of identifying users — you need only provide a name, country, and e-mail address.
If you don't have an Adobe ID, you can create your Adobe ID when prompted within Digital Editions as you authorize your computer, or go directly to the Adobe.com membership site.
